Compression refers to the amount of pressure needed to compress foam by 25% and have it bounce back to its original thickness. For example, a 4" thick foam requiring 33 lbs. to compress 1" and return to 4" has a 33 lb. ILD rating. All foam sheets are sold per sheet, not per yard. When opening the package, avoid using a box cutter and instead use a ballpoint pen or pencil to make a small incision.
