Compression refers to the amount of pressure needed to compress the foam by 25% and have it return to its original thickness. For instance, a 4" thick foam requiring 33 lbs. to compress it by 1" and bounce back to 4" has a 33 lb. compression rating or ILD. All foam sheets are sold individually, not by the yard. It is recommended to open the foam with a ballpoint pen or pencil instead of a box cutter to prevent damage.

Medium-density foam is ideal for firm yet comfortable cushions, known for its high-quality compression that ensures durability even under heavy weight. Foamrush's upholstery foam has a return policy that excludes shipping fees and incurs a restocking fee. The cutting machines can cut up to 96" in length, requiring the remaining pieces to be glued together.
