Compression refers to the pounds required to compress a piece of foam by 25% and have it return to its original thickness. For instance, a 4" thick foam piece that needs 33 lbs. to compress it by 1" and then bounce back to 4" has a compression rating of 33 lbs.

All foam sheets are sold per sheet, not by yard. It is recommended not to use a box cutter to open the foam sheets; instead, use a ballpoint pen or a pencil to make a small incision and tear it from there. The durability of the foam is estimated to last 7 to 10 years.
