For instance, a 4" thick piece of foam that needs 33 lbs to compress it by 1" and bounce back to 4" has a 33 lb compression rating or indention load deflection (ild).

All foam sheets are sold per sheet, not per yard. It is recommended to avoid opening with a box cutter and instead use a ballpoint pen or pencil to make a small incision and proceed from there.
