Foam Density and Compression Guide:

High density foam has a compression rate of 44lbs, providing the perfect balance of cushioning and stiffness. It remains soft while also maintaining firmness and support, preventing excessive compression when sat on. Firmness is determined by compression, not density, so it is essential to check the compression or ild number before making a purchase.

Compression refers to the number of pounds needed to compress a piece of foam by 25% and have it bounce back to its original thickness. For example, a 4" thick piece of foam that requires 33 lbs to compress it by 1" and return to its full 4" thickness has a compression rating of 33 lbs or ild (indentation load deflection).

Please note that all foam sheets are sold per sheet, not per yard. When opening the package, avoid using a box cutter and opt for a ballpoint pen or pencil to make a small incision and break it open. Our foam is durable and guaranteed to last between 7 to 10 years.
