For example, a 4" thick piece of foam that needs 33 lbs to compress it by 1" and then return to its full thickness has a 33 lb compression rating or ild (indention load deflection).

All foam sheets are sold per sheet, not per yard. It is recommended to avoid using a box cutter to open the foam, instead, use a ballpoint pen or a pencil to make a small incision and then tear it open. The foam is designed to last 7 to 10 years, making it a durable option for various applications.
